Nick was defeated by Rafael Nadal, but you have to know he had a very cool match against Nadal (6-7, 7-5, 4-6). Also in the third round, Kyrgios confidently defeated Kasper Ruud from Norway. This was undoubtedly the best tournament for the Australian in the last couple of years.
Kyrgios had previously played in the semi-finals twice at the current Masters in Miami, in 2016 and 2017.
Adrian Mannarino:
Mannarino got off to a strong start. He has reached the Australian Open fourth round, defeating Hubert Hurkacz (6-4, 6-2, 6-3) and Aslan Karatsev (7-6, 6-7, 7-5, 6-4). However, Mannarino’s recent tournaments have not been successful.
Adrian lost to Brandon Nakashima at Indian Wells and to Taylor Fritz at Acapulco.
However, Mannarino reached the quarter-finals in three tournaments in Montpellier, Dallas and Delray Beach in February.
Last year Mannarino reached the third round in Miami.
