Bagnis has not had the most successful season but is still in the top 100. He came to Paris as the 98th ranked player in the world.
The week before Roland Garros, Facundo played a tournament in Geneva. He qualified but did not win a single match in the main draw. Moreover, Bagnis was unable to finish his match against Nikoloz Basilashvili (4-6, Walkover) due to an injury.

Daniil’s first match after the break did not go well. He lost straight away to Richard Gasquet (2-6, 6-7) at the Geneva tournament.
Medvedev lost the first set almost without a fight and lost the second set on a tie-break.
Maybe for the first match, it was not so bad, but it is clear that Medvedev is not as comfortable on the clay court as he is on the hardcourt.
Medvedev reached the quarter-finals at Roland Garros last year. It will be difficult to repeat that result after such an injury.
