Jules Kounde Breaks Silence On ‘Difficult’ Right Back Role For France

Originally a Center Back, Kounde is currently charged with the role of a right back for France but according to him, the presence of Ousmane Dembele makes it less of a burden for him.

Speaking on the new role for France, Kounde said; “To be honest, I had spoken to the coach before the World Cup. I knew I was going to play as a right back, and I feel good there. I could even play on the left, let’s see.

“Right back? In the beginning of the game it was difficult for me, but playing with Ousmane made it easier for me, because we play together at Barcelona. Defensively he was very good during the last game and I’m happy about this.”
