£33m-rated Laliga talent snubs Arsenal and Newcastle to sign with Spanish giants

Real Madrid is facing a hot pursuit for Spanish U21 international midfielder, Brais Veiga. The midfielder is currently playing for Celta Vigo and has caught the attention of several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Newcastle, and Manchester United.

Despite the interest from these clubs, Veiga reportedly plans to request that Real Madrid matches any offer presented by a Premier League club. This request may be a potential stumbling block for the interested parties, particularly Newcastle, who are said to be willing to activate the midfielder’s £33 million release clause and offer him a significant weekly salary of around £85,000.

Veiga’s potential arrival at St James’ Park or the Emirates would undoubtedly strengthen either team’s midfield, but his preference for a move to Real Madrid may prove to be a challenging obstacle to overcome.
